Robin was a senior undergraduate in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences, when she conducted thesis work towards her Honours degree. In addition to working on the field component of Larisa Murdoch’s MSc thesis on bighorn sheep, Robin conducted experimental trials to determine the willingness of bighorns (in captivity) to feed on cheatgrass. Cheatgrass is a highly invasive plant spreading through substantial portions of bighorn habitat in the region, and her work was the first experimental study to demonstrate the reluctance of bighorn to consume the plant during the summer.
