Robin is a senior undergraduate in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences, where she is conducting thesis work towards her Honours degree. In addition to working on the field component of Larisa Murdoch’s MSc thesis on bighorn sheep, Robin conducted experimental trials to determine the willingness of bighorns (in captivity) to feed on cheatgrass. Cheatgrass is a highly invasive plant spreading through substantial portions of bighorn habitat in the region, so her work is the first such study to explore what this means to bighorns.
Robin’s experimental work was conducted with support from the British Columbia Wildlife Park here in Kamloops.
