Lily completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University, and then came to TRU to work on a translocation project involving snakes. Her work largely focused on the reintroduction of these animals after their hibernating sites were removed and then re-created (‘mitigation’). Her species of focus were the Great Basin Gopher Snake (pictured) and the Western Racer. The latter work was particularly interesting as the animal has been largely understudied in BC. Lily thesis work was tightly intertwined with Veronica’s study. Support for this project was being provided by the Trans-Mountain Corporation .
