Jessica’s thesis examined the the movement paths used by rattlesnakes during their summer migration, and then compared those routes to the thermal properties of the landscape. At the same time, she compared the paths and the body temperatures of rattlesnakes using forested versus grassland habitats, a contrasting behaviour previously detected by Lita Gomez.
